Tulips are one of the few flowers that keep growing after cutting: they stretch a few centimetres in the vase and curve toward the light. Put them in cold, shallow water and keep the vase a little away from the window. Tulips wilt faster when mixed with other flowers — they live longest on their own. Istanbul's tulip season peaks in April at Emirgan; fresh tulips reach our workshop from January to the end of May.
