About us

A shop in Ortaköy, in the same spot for seven years

Model Flowers is on Ambarlıdere Street, directly across from the Migros. We're not a platform that sells flowers online — we're a shop first, a website second.

Most people who walk in here are faces we know. Of the 30 Google reviews built up over seven years, almost every one is five stars, and most say the same things: the flowers are fresh, the arrangement is careful, the owner pays attention. Nobody wrote that because we launched a website — they wrote it because they came through the door.

We built this site to take what we do in the shop to the rest of Istanbul. But without copying online flower retail's two biggest failures: a vague delivery promise, and flowers that don't look like the photo.

Why we work differently

01

We don't sell what isn't in the cooler

One customer wrote on Google: “if the flower you like isn't fresh, they won't sell it to you.” That's the oldest rule in this shop, and we coded it straight into the site — a sold-out design says “sold out today”, and never gets swapped for something similar.

02

We give you a time, not a wish

You cannot get from Ortaköy to Kadıköy in 90 minutes during the evening bridge traffic. We know that, so we don't make that promise at that hour. The site works out the traffic right now and how full the workshop is, then gives you a real window.

03

A photo before it leaves

Before the flowers go out the door, we send the sender a photo. One customer put it this way: “it really is exactly like the picture.” We want to earn that sentence on every order.

The workshop

Flowers arrive from the market every morning and are arranged by hand in the shop. Beyond cut flowers we keep orchids, potted plants and long-lasting preserved roses — as one customer said, “the non-cut flowers are good quality too.”

A woman-owned business

Model Flowers is woman-owned, as stated on our Google profile.

Come to the shop

The website is a window; the real work happens in the shop. If you're passing through Ortaköy, drop in and see it for yourself.
